I’m Marlene Costa, founder of Peaches Skin Studio and proud recipient of the 2025 Canadian Choice Award for Toronto’s Top Hair Removal Clinic. Located in the heart of Little Italy, our studio is a safe, judgment-free space specializing in all things hair removal — from advanced laser using the Soprano Ice Platinum Trio, to expert body waxing and intimate skincare like vajacials.
With over a decade of experience in esthetics, my mission has always been to make clients feel confident, comfortable, and empowered in their own skin — no matter their size, gender, or background. At Peaches, we don’t just remove hair — we remove shame, discomfort, and outdated beauty standards.

My Story
Hey, I’m Marlene — founder of Peaches Skin Studio, single mama, esthetician of 10+ years, and yes… once known as “moustache girl.”
I grew up with thick, dark hair covering my body — and I started getting teased for it as early as five years old. My first nickname? Moustache girl. Cute, right? (Not so much.) That experience stuck with me — and honestly, it shaped everything I’ve built today.
I started Peaches from my home as a way to create income while being present for my son. After leaving my 9–5 job and watching him cry during daycare drop-offs, I knew I had to build something different — not just for us, but for every person who's ever felt self-conscious about their body hair, their skin, or stepping into a beauty studio that didn’t feel made for them.
Now based in Toronto’s Little Italy, Peaches Skin Studio is more than just a wax bar. It’s a judgment-free zone where people of all sizes, skin tones, and genders can feel safe, respected, and confident. From vajacials and Brazilian waxing to laser hair removal with the Soprano Ice Platinum Trio, every service I offer is something I wish existed when I was growing up.
In 2025, we were proudly voted Toronto’s Top Hair Removal Clinic by the Canadian Choice Awards — a full-circle moment I’ll never forget.
I’m still a one-woman show (with my little sidekick cheering me on), but this business is proof that you can turn your insecurities into your superpower — and build the life you always wanted on your own terms.
